One of the best learning tools for Chinese I have come across, very easy to use. You can select yourself the phrases which interest you most

Usefull phrases, [but there is a bug in the program which makes it get stuck, when using the "play all" function.] Some phrases are (according to my chinese wife who was a chinese teacher in china) are oldfashioned or unusual. [At least the bug should be fixed soon to receive more than 3 stars.] Bug fixed, thank you. Its much better now.

I like this programm because it is very easy to use and also easy to understand. Thanks a lot for developed!:)

This is a nice app for a beginner...

This app is just what I needed to start learning the language. It was especially helpful when I arrived in the country and didnt know any of the language!

Great start to a language app. Its been really helpful for me so far.

The app works great! If anyone thinks $5.00 is expensive to help you learn a wee bit of Chinese for a vacation of a lifetime, I think you need to rethink things. I especially enjoyed the tonal inflections that I picked up from the audio portion. Thanks everyone! Sandy.

Certainly an excellent introduction to the language, offering an entry point for phrases to build upon.

I gave 3 stars because I found it to contain only a very small selection of phrases within only a few really helpful categories.

The app is not bad, memorization is one way to develop language skills, but it would more useful if the app included tutorials on specific grammatical structure examples such as, subject-verb-object, time and distance. This way the individual could learn how to use the Mandarin language in a more useful way rather than just memorizing phrases. I also suggest that in the English translation, direct translations be shown as an option. Some phrases do not translate well into Mandarin and it would be useful for students to understand the actual meaning. Perhaps in this mode when playing the Mandarin voice recordings individual Chinese characters could be emphasized.

Lets see...so I buy the HD version but I still have to pay for the iPhone version? Fing ridiculous. I might consider it if your app was better than average but its not. As the title says, I was expecting new updates with new phrases and so on.

This is an *excellent* beginning app to learn Mandarin Chinese. They allow you to click on key phrases -- always showing the English pinyin pronunciation guide. So great. Phrases can be selected in increasing complexity, all under your control, so it really is self-paced learning.

Easy to understand and imitate. I wish there was a feature just going over the pinyin sounds but there are other apps that do that. Lots of great words and phrases here
